Lead UI Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Reporting: The Lead UI Engineer will report to the VP of Engineering.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- 5+ years of real world experience.
- Extensive experience in Rich Internet Application development
- Deep knowledge of cross-platform and cross-browser web development
- Extensive experience converting visual designs to HTML with an acute eye for detail and design fidelity
- Knowledge of image optimization for the Web
- Some experience with graphic editors such as Photoshop, Fireworks, and ImageReady
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to define, implement and document language-independent API.
- Flexible and willing to work in a fast-changing start-up environment.
- Experience with agile development a strong plus.

Senior Java Engineer

Senior QA Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Reporting: The Senior QA Engineer will report to the Director of QA.
- What you need to be successful in this role:
- A solid background in investigative software quality assurance testing, including the ability to integrate QA into projects from the design and planning phase.
- Full lifecycle QA experience – in this role you will design test cases, execute both manual and automated testing, analyze the results, report and track defects, and ultimately make the decision on test completion.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment (preferably Scrum).
- Prior experience working for a web startup.
- Posses leadership qualities having worked with distributed teams in this capacity.
- A deadline driven approach, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding of advanced testing techniques (like equivalence partitioning).
- Capable of rapid planning and execution of test plans.
- Experience testing Java-based application on a Linux platform is preferred.
Additional success factors:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science/Computer Information Systems or other relevant field.
- 5+ years Web testing with specific focus on Rich Internet Applications.
- WATIR, Selenium, Fitness or similar automation framework experience.
- Knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL.
- Experience with Continuous Integration environment (Cruise Control).
- Experience with web technologies such as Ajax, PHP (Zend, Smarty , Code Igniter, etc.), HTML, SSL, Java, JavaScript, CSS.

- Confer with product management and software engineering about the limits and parameters of the product, and how that relates to testing.
- Assist in defining and documenting the QA processes and procedures.
- Design test strategy and criteria defining user story acceptance.
- Perform the test execution for assigned stories according to acceptance criteria and using own initiative, retaining accountability for software tested.
- Participates in daily team meeting to be aware of ongoing activity and ensure testing coverage.
- Sign-off on the quality of the new builds before releases.
- Immediately log and communicate issues found during testing and the ability to assess the severity of the issue.
- Review functional/technical specs for various projects and provide feedback.
- Act as a gatekeeper for software quality, ensuring only highest quality code makes it to production.
- Help in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and providing feedback.
