Responsibilities include executing manufacturing procedures that involve bioreactor operationupstream manufacturingand downstream purification for biotherapeutic molecules from microbial and mammalian sources. Knowledgeskills and abilities Qualified individuals will be skilled in techniques in one or more relevant areas of biotherapeutic manufacturing Upstream: mammalian and/or microbial cell culture and fermentation techniquesfermentor and bioreactor operationaseptic techniquefollowing GMP procedures Downstream: protein purification experiencecontinuous flow centrifuge operationtechniques for filtration and chromatographic separation (ie column chromatography and HPLC) Candidates should have have relevant experience in manufacturing under cGMP and developing processes for cGMP manufacturingand possess a sound knowledge of cGMP requirements. Strict attention to detail and safety are absolutely required for these positions. Good SOP writing skills as well as process development experience are pluses in this role. A thorough working knowledge of aseptic technique is also a plus.
